Cypress, CA ? February 9, 2018 ? Round 6 of the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship is in San Diego tomorrow, and the Monster Energy/Knich/Yamaha Factory Racing Team?s Justin Barcia (#51) and Cooper Webb (#2) are raring to unleash their YZ450Fs and let those dogs hunt at Petco Park.
Justin is currently ranked third in the Championship and just 17 points out of the lead, while Cooper had his best result of the season in Oakland this past Saturday. Both Yamaha Factory riders are hungry for wins and looking forward to San Diego. ?I?m absolutely ecstatic about racing in San Diego tomorrow,? commented Justin. ?I love that town, and there?s just a super-good vibe there for racing. I had a great time last weekend up in Oakland, and I?m looking forward to carrying all the positive energy into tomorrow?s San Diego round.?
Cooper said, ?I?m really excited for San Diego! The last two weekends haven?t looked that spectacular on paper, but we?ve made some big improvements on and off the track, and I?m making big steps in the right direction. The team and bike have been awesome, and I plan on keeping this momentum heading in the right direction this weekend at Petco Park!?
