Wendy Crockett of Rapid City, South Dakota has become the first ever woman to win the Iron Butt Rally, an 11-day 11,000+ mile event spanning North America. Crockett and her faithful 2005 Yamaha FJR1300 pulled off the mind-blowing ? and butt-numbing ? feat of traversing 12,998.9 miles with a score of 154,086 during the 11-day event. Points are accumulated via checkpoints for various parameters and tracking verifications with bonus points available for additional verification such as photo evidence.
The Iron Butt Association (IBA) has a claimed membership of more than 60,000 worldwide. In order to enter the Iron Butt Rally, one must have completed an Iron Butt ride such as a Saddle Sore 1000 (1,000 miles in 24 hours) or one of the association?s other long haul rides.  On June 17, 2019, 102 bikes, seven of which included passengers, set out for the 11-day ride. Throughout the duration, members of the IBA covered a consecutive 828,000 miles with 71 motorcycles finishing. Crockett topped the score sheet cementing herself as the ?hardass? that she is. Not only is Wendy Crockett the first female to win the Iron Butt Rally, she also happens to be the first mother. 
A big congratulations goes to Wendy for doing what many of us could hardly fathom let alone have any interest in doing.
