Stunning MV Agusta Brutale and Dragster 800 triples unveiled
MV have just unveiled the new MV Agusta Dragster and Brutale models and it?s given all of us a massive Casey Stoner. I mean, just look at them. That Dragster RR SCS RC. Offfffft. The Dragster range is made up of the aforementioned RR SCS RS, the RR SCS, the RR and the Rosso. Likewise, if you want a Brutale, you can have an RR SCS, an RR or a Rosso. All the bikes share the same engine and frame, but as you?d imagine have different levels of spec.
So what?s new" Well there are a few new engine parts that have helped the 798cc inline triple maintain its peak power of 140hp, despite now being Euro5 compliant. Efficiency is improved by new valve guides and DLC-coated tappets and there are some new injectors and exhaust pipes. The clutch has been tinkered with and it gets a more robust basket for improved reliability. I?m guessing a few MV owners have had issues with the previous one.
All the MV Agusta Dragster and Brutale models have got a completely new electronics suite, complete with IMU. It means much more precise operations of ABS, traction control and anti-wheelie. The press release did make a point of saying they can still be wheelied, though. Thanks MV. There?s a new 5.5? TFT dash that comes with the MV Ride App, so you can plum your phone into it. It means you can do all the usual stuff like see satnav instructions and map your routes. Oh, there is an electronic gearbox, as well, so flat-out upshifts and clutch-less downshifts are catered for.
