Skunk Machine: A Cafe Twist For The Ducati Scrambler
The new Ducati Scrambler is the best-selling motorcycle the Bologna factory has ever made. According to figures just released by the manufacturer, 16,000 of them found new owners in 2015.

?I was contemplating buying a Scrambler for a design idea I was playing around with,? Carl tells us. ?The next day, a customer called and said he?d just bought a Scrambler, and wanted me to do something with it!?
Carl showed him the sketches, and the client loved what he saw. He had just two requests: clip-on bars, and black and white paint. The rest was up to Carl. Cerra already has a pedigree in the motorcycling world: Until recently he was one of the directors of Gasolina?the Melbourne, Australia shop with a reputation for producing well-finished builds like this SR400 custom.
The objective was to make a bolt-on kit that transforms the appearance of the Ducati Scrambler. Carl was looking for a solution that required no frame modifications and could be fitted within a couple of hours.
?Firstly, I wanted to break that ugly seat line and eliminate the weird little plastic side cover. I began styling the kit with automotive clay until I was satisfied with the detail and proportions.?
