Day one of the second preseason MotoGP test has come to an end with Ducati Lenovo Team?s Jack Miller topping the timesheets, beating Marc Marquez?s 2019 lap record by 2 tenths of a second. Factory Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo was also under MM93?s ?19 pace, just 0.080 seconds behind Thriller Miller.

The Espargaro brothers were both on form with Pol clearly getting to grips with his Repsol Honda and Aleix going faster than he ought to be doing on an Aprilia. They were 5th and 6th respectively.

Enea Bastianini was, once again, the fastest rookie. He was just over a second and a half a lap off Millers pace. I?ve got a strong suspicion the Avintia Esponsorama Ducati boy will only get faster and faster as the year goes on. Bet you a quid he?ll win a race in 2021.
