Moto Guzzi Releases Images of Upcoming Adventure Bike, Teases New V7 III Models

As Moto Guzzi approaches its 100th anniversary in 2021, like an aging favorite uncle it’s showing more and more willingness to let its character show. When it’s the favorite uncle we call it “eccentric,” and I think it’s just as applicable in this case. If unique character is what you’re after, a Guzzi is right up your alley.
Moto Guzzi V7 III Milano
At EICMA last week, Moto Guzzi unveiled three new V7 III models: the Carbon, the Rough and the Milano. Details are scarce, but we do know that these are “special” versions, which might mean a limited production run and numbering. The Carbon, as you might guess, will feature “many carbon fiber components,” as well as red details such as the cylinder heads, seat stitching and front brake caliper. The Rough sounds very much like a scrambler, with knobby tires, spoked wheels and a unique seat. The Milano is described as “highly refined,” with plenty of shiny paint and chrome bits. What we are most interested in, however, is the intriguing new adventure concept that looks like it will become a production model, the Concept 85. Based around a new 90-degree air-cooled longitudinal 850cc V-twin that Guzzi says is good for 80 peak horsepower (we tested our latest V9 Bobber at 51.3 horsepower), the Concept 85 rolls on spoked wheels and semi-knobby tires, with a new tubular steel frame that uses the engine as a stressed memb...
