Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Round 1 Hangtown Results
Round 1 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is in the books and both classes’ defending champions showed the rest of the field who’s boss by both going 1-1 in their title defense debuts. For starters, Eli Tomac is a madman. The Colorado native charged from behind in both motos and was able to pick riders off left and right as if he was out there all by himself. Same goes for Zach Osborne in the 250 class. They showed the rest of their respective classes that stealing the red plate will be no easy task. Jason Anderson, fresh off his 2018 Supercross Championship, rode well and even led parts of each moto, but ultimately lost spots as the race wore on and settled for a fourth overall. Ken Roczen was looking fast too, spending time in the top 5, however, it was clearly apparent that he was riding timidly and not putting up much of a fight against riders who would eventually pass him. As his first race back from season-ending injuries earlier this year, his fading performance comes as no surprise, but he raced well nonetheless and we’re happy to see him back and doing well.
