A couple of weeks ago, Motorcycle.com received spy photos of a new Panigale V4 on a race track. Based on its livery, Troy Siahaan guessed it may be a 25th anniversary edition of Carl Fogarty’s first World Superbike championship on the Ducati 916.
It looks like Troy was on to something, as Ducati confirmed it will be releasing an anniversary edition Panigale. The Ducati Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 will debut at July 12 at Pebble Beach, Calif., before appearing at the Laguna Seca World Superbike round July 13 and 14 where factory racebikes of Alvaro Bautista and Chaz Davies will sport similar livery. Fogarty will be on hand as part of the festivities.
