GEICO Honda’s Christian Craig to Fill In for Team Honda HRC’s Injured Roczen and Seely
Team Honda HRC just can’t seem to catch a break this year. First Ken Roczen and now Cole Seely, with both the team’s two top riders out with injuries, GEICO Honda’s Christian Craig has been announced as the team’s fill-in rider for the next two Supercross rounds in Atlanta and Daytona. Craig is no stranger to Honda HRC or the CRF450R, as he’s ridden for the team in the past, so his results ought to be promising. This also serves as an opportunity for Craig to keep racing as he’s on break from the 250SX West Championship, where he sits sixth in points.

TORRANCE, Calif. (February 28, 2018) – With riders Ken Roczen and Cole Seely out of action with injuries, Team Honda HRC announces today that GEICO Honda’s Christian Craig will race a CRF450R as the factory squad’s sole rider at this weekend’s Atlanta Supercross and next week’s Daytona Supercross. Following a promising start to the AMA Supercross season, Team Honda HRC has been plagued by injuries. Roczen suffered injuries to his right hand in San Diego after posting three podium finishes in the first five rounds. Seely was running second in the points standings when he fractured his pelvis and sacrum at last weekend’s Tampa round.
