Ducati & Carlin Dunne Return to Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to Reclaim Their Records
Carlin Dunne was the first motorcyclist ever to traverse the 4,720-foot Pikes Peak race course in less than 10 minutes (9:52.819), and he did it in 2012 on a Ducati Multistrada 1200 S. However, the record was just broken and Dunne has come back out to try and reclaim what was his on the new Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak Edition. He is joined on the Spider Grips Ducati Pikes Peak team by current middleweight record holder, Codie Vahsholtz, a Colorado native who’s family is the winningest family to ever race Pikes Peak, with over 40 wins to their name. New Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak to Make Race Debut at 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA ? May 16, 2018 ? Ducati has set its sights on taking back the course record at the 96th annual running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), set to take place June 24. The Ducati team record holder, Carlin Dunne, and current middleweight record holder, Codie Vahsholtz, make up the 2018 Spider Grips Ducati Pikes Peak team.
