BSB Champ breaks leg testing in Cartagena
Every off-season, there?s a list as long as your arm of racers that put themselves in hospital after overenthusiastically training. And the latest rider to enter the winter 21-22 crash-athon is none other than reigning BSB Champ, Tarran Mackenzie. 44Teeth have been informed that champignoni was at Cartagena on his R1, where he crashed and fractured the bottom of his tibia.
The 26-year-old McAMS Yamaha rider had surgery in Barcelona last week to repair his broken limb where three screws were screwed into his tib?.
At the moment, it?s believed he is recuperating in Girona, where he?ll probably be balls deep in physio. He really ought to be, because the first official British Superbike test is in two months? time, and he?ll no doubt want to be fighting fit for that. Word on the street is that he will be fit for it, so let?s keep our fingers crossed.

There will be people that criticise Tarran Mackenzie for risking his fitness by flying round Cartagena on his R1, when he doesn?t need to. And some might even say that an injury is almost inevitable (trust me, I?ve heard people say it). But if you ask me that?s a load of nonsense. He?s BSB champ because he?s a shit-hot rider, and one of the reasons he?s a shit-hot rider, is because he rides loads. That?s what he was doing down in Cartagena, he was getting the laps in.
