Aprilia Signs Aleix Espargaro to Two-Year Contract Extension
Aleix Espargaró is staying with Aprilia, signing a two-year contract extension to race the Aprilia RS-GP through the 2020 MotoGP season.
The 28-year-old Spanish racer joined Aprilia last year after a two-year stint with Suzuki. Espargaró is currently in his seventh season in the MotoGP class. His best season came in 2014 with the Forward Racing team where he finished seventh overall with a second-place finish at Aragon, making him the first and only rider competing in the short-lived “Open” class to record a podium.
