2022 KTM 390 Adventure
The KTM 390 Adventure, KTM?s mini adventure bike. It?s got a single cylinder, 4-stroke Euro5 compatible motor making 43bhp and 37Nm or torque, and now (or for 2022), its got a fresh look and some saucy upgrades.
Possibly the biggest, most exciting upgrade for ?22 is the new, or I should probably say ?updated?, electronics suite. For 2022, you get two new traction control modes; ?Street? and ?Off-road?. Street, as far as we can tell, will be the standard TC mode, with Off-road mode being the more lairy option.
Off-road mode will allow a bit of wheelspin making the new KTM 390 Adventure that bit more usable should you take it off-road. And that bit more exciting, too. With the new TC settings, the little adventure bike is even more of an adventure bike. And if (or when) you have a mishap and stall the bike, or fall over, when you fire it back up again, it?ll stay in the TC mode you?ve selected. That might not sound like much, but too many bikes revert back to the ?safe-mode? road settings when you turn them off, and it?s downright annoying. Especially when you crash as much as I do.

The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure also gets some new wheels. I?ll admit the new five-spoke cast wheels aren?t very adventure-y. According to KTM though, they’re more robust than the last ones. The five-spokers (rather than the old six-spokers) permit ?increased stiffness and resistance for the rim?.
