The 2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT doesn?t move across the earth, it simply spins the earth beneath it. That?s according to KTM anyway, although I?m not sure Professor Brian Cox would agree. But who cares what he thinks" We know it?s a right banger. And it?s even more of a banger now, thanks to a healthy spattering of updates for 2022.

First of all, the new GT gets the updated Super Duke R-derived engine. That?s the 175hp, 141Nm, 1,301cc V-twin. But that?s not all.

There is a brand new 7 inch TFT dash that you can connect your phone to. No I know that?s nothing super exciting in 2022, but it does come with an all-new, top-of-the-range nav system. It?s called Turn-by-Turn PLUS. It works with your smartphone, but the good thing about it is that it can operate offline. All you need to do is plan your journey beforehand and load it into the machine. You can search for POIs using the switchgears, see all the nav instructions on the dash and skip waypoints if you so wish. Nice.
The Super Duke GT comes with WP APEX semi-active suspension with settings for four riding situations. ?Rider,? ?Rider & Pillion,? ?Rider & Luggage,? or ?Rider, Luggage & Pillion?. Those are all fairly self-explanatory, aren?t they"

You also get some new wheels on the new GT. They are the same wheels as the Super Duke R and they?ll save a kilo of unsprung mass compared to the old GT?s wheels.
