When Yamaha released the Niken as a part of its Touring lineup earlier this year, we hoped a road trip-ready GT version would be coming along shortly, and got our wish. Yamaha has announced the Niken GT, which will be available starting in March 2019.

A wider and taller windscreen offers greater elemental protection, while a comfort seat enhances the experience for both rider and passenger. The Niken GT also comes standard with quick-release 25-liter hard saddlebags, heated grips, a center stand and a second 12V power outlet.
