First of all, they?ve refined the DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) settings in both Africa Twins, i.e. the standard one and the Adventure Sports. You don?t have to go for the DCT version of either model, but if you do, you?ll find the new settings deliver even smoother handling in the first two gears from a standing start and at low speeds. According to Honda, anyway.
The standard Africa Twin, whether you go for the DCT version or not, has been given an aluminium rear carrier as standard. They?ve obviously decided that a bike like this really ought to have something decent to fix your luggage to? without paying extra for it.
Practically brand new
Honda obviously wanted both Africa Twins to have increased practicality. They?ve given the Adventure Sports model a new screen which is 110mm lower and adjustable, with five height settings. They say the new screen improves visibility without compromising on wind protection. We?ll see.
Both Honda Africa Twins come with some new graphics, too. The Adventure Sports model gets a new ?Cracked Terrain? get-up and the standard version sports a new ?Big Logo? design. The CRF1100...
