Eli Tomac Captures Fourth Monster Energy Supercross Win of 2018 in Tampa
Monster Energy Kawasaki?s Eli Tomac is starting to build some real momentum by stringing together back-to-back first place finishes. He still only sits seventh in the overall points standings, though, 65 points behind first place Jason Anderson, who finished on the podium in third. Defending Western Regional 250SX Class Champion Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing?s Justin Hill made his 450SX Class debut and made some waves by not only winning his heat race, but running in the top three for a good portion of the race, until a small mistake set him back to ultimately finish sixth. Chad Reed broke Mike LaRocco’s all-time starts record with 228 and HRC Honda’s Cole Seely suffered a crash in which he cracked his pelvis and broke his tailbone. The 250SX Class saw Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki?s Austin Forkner dominate the night by leading 19 of 20 laps in the main en route to his first-ever Monster Energy Supercross win. He was joined by Dylan Ferrandis and Zach Osborne on the podium.
